Kimberly applies her strong communication skills and attention to detail to all of her work in planning and equipping performing arts spaces. Her own background as technician, musician, and young dancer contributes to her understanding of how these spaces function for the people who call them home. Kimberly has over ten years of experience in technical theatre, working as technician, designer, stage manager, and production manager at various venues throughout the Northeast. Her additional experience working with contractors and consultants enhances her understanding of construction. Combining these areas of knowledge and skill, Kimberly aims to work together with architects, engineers, consultants, and stakeholders to create functional facilities that will serve their communities well into the future.
Kimberly continues to enjoy engaging in production work. In 2007, she received a Column Award for her work as set designer for the Garland Civic Theatre's production of You Can't Take It With You. One of her favorite roles was master electrician for the world premiere of August Wilson's Radio Golf at the Yale Repertory Theatre. Kimberly is a member of ASME, Tau Beta Pi, and USITT, where she helps pen articles for the Architecture Commission. She represents Schuler Shook on the ESTA Control Protocols and Rigging Working Groups and is working with Task Groups to create standards for powered winches and manual counterweight rigging. |
