Schuler Shook Lighting Designer Staff

Giulio Pedota began his career as a lighting designer at the national theatre of Caracas, Venezuela, his native country. This experience in the theatre led him to the architectural scene, where he worked in the electrical engineering field for over six years on commercial and institutional projects. His passion for lighting brought him to Schuler Shook, where he makes use of his theatrical and engineering experience to work on a wide variety of projects. He enjoys the collaborative process among the different disciplines involved in projects.

Giulio is the Immediate Past President of the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America - Chicago Section and an Adjunct Associate Professor in the College of Architecture at the Illinois Institute of Technology. He has addressed professional organizations such as the Chicago chapter of the AIA and the IESNA National Conference. He has served as guest lecturer at Columbia College and The Art Institute of Chicago.
